Applicants are advised to prepare degree certificates, transcripts and evidence of professional registration in advance, as incomplete applications cannot be reviewed.

The programme covers sedation and analgesia, vasoactive support, sepsis management, therapeutic drug monitoring, nutrition, and dosing in organ dysfunction and renal replacement, assessed through a supervised logbook and case portfolio.

The Unit will also support diploma and fellowship learners undertaking service-improvement projects, providing methodological advice, ethics guidance and supervisor allocation.

Places are limited and allocated to enrolled learners first. Remaining places are released to external candidates four weeks before each session.

The module covers evaluation methods, algorithmic bias, documentation burden, information governance, and practical guidance on introducing tools safely into existing clinical workflows.

All placements operate under a written supervision agreement setting out learning outcomes, supervision arrangements, indemnity and the reflective portfolio required for completion.
